(ANS – Rome) – The assessment and analysis of the European youth situation which thanks to the collaboration of Salesians and experts on the field ANS is offering its readers continues. This time it concerns the young people of France.
29/3/2012- Italy – From the eduacation of one boy to the education of a village
(ANS – Turin) – From an undertaking in favour of just one person advantages can be derived for a whole community. This happened in the case of William, a Tanzanian boy of Masai origin who benefitted from the help of many people and from education by the Salesians in Turin. Now he intends to repay his debt for the benefit of the less fortunate children of his village.

(ANS – Bacău) – In this year dedicated to coming to know the life story of Don Bosco, here is an example of how even today the Turinese saint can make young people dream about and be motivated in devoting themselves to the salvation of other young people.
8/3/2012- Italy – Project for Europe: SOS Listen. Attention to hidden problems
(ANS – La Spezia) – Among the various activities which the “Don Bosco” Oratory in La Spezia and the SCS/CNOS Federation- Salesians and Social Work organise together with other administrate and social policy partners, is “SOS Listen”, a programme of advice, welcome and accompaniment aimed at responding to the social needs not immediately visible and help with the more wide-spread difficulties between parents and children.

(ANS – Rome) – Today 29 February, ANS offers its readers the opportunity to become better acquainted with the young people of Europe and the work of the Salesians on their behalf. After looking at Spain last month now we turn to Italy.

(ANS – Roma) – To be a “good Christian and upright citizen” is a right and the plan of life and of holistic education for every young person and every individual independently of where they are starting from when they come into the Salesian orbit. This is the basis for the work of the Salesians with young people at risk.
29/2/2012- Italy – PE: Developing youngsters’ “manual intelligence”
(ANS – Rome) – Within a year of being qualified, almost 70% of the young people leaving Salesian Vocational Training Centres (CFP), find work or continue their studies for a diploma. This is a comforting statistic at a time when in Italy the crisis and the shortage of jobs are hitting young people in particular, and is a measure of the vitality of Salesian training.

(ANS – Venice-Mestre) – The DonBoscoLand is a webpage started about 10 years ago, created and updated each day by the Salesian Youth Movement in Triveneto. Specially aimed at the young it speaks their language to perfection: in its graphics, colours, slang, the topics dealt with and the means made available.

2/2/2012- RMG – PE: EuroClip Don Bosco, how young people see European citizenship
(ANS – Rome) – With a letter sent yesterday, 1 February to Provincials and Delegates for Youth Ministry and Social Communication in Europe, EuroClip Don Bosco, a European festival of short films open to the young was officially launched. Promoted by the Departments for Social Communication and Youth Ministry it is part of the Project for Europe launched by the Salesian Congregation on 31 January 2009.
