RMG – VeniteeVedrete2011: a year of vocation histories |
(ANS – Rome) – A few days after the 142nd Missionary Expedition Departure Ceremony, the “VeniteeVedrete2011” channel now contains more vocation stories. In most cases in addition to the religious vocation these also concern the second, the missionary one.
About 10 months after it started “VeniteeVedrete2011” now has 5 new contribution by the Salesians: Fr Rodolfo Guzmán, working among the young in Quetzaltenango; Fr Agustín Pascualini, a missionary from Argentina in Angola; and young new missionaries, Fr Santiago Boix, Fr Ján Chovanák and Matthew Valiyakattel, who took part in the 142nd Missionary Expedition and recorded their contribution to ANS while they were in Rome for the missionary formation course.
As on various occasions many missionaries have pointed out, the vocation to evangelise people and cultures different from one’s own often comes from listening to other peoples’ accounts of their vocation.
“VeniteeVedrete2011” was launched last December in connection with the message of the Strenna of the Retor Major for 2011. At present there are 52 videos on the site which can also be viewed on the specific page of sdb.org
The invitaton to send personal vacation accounts to ANS remains open to all members of the groups of the Salesian Family.
