Argentina – The house in Salta celebrates 100 years |
The purpose of the meeting was to provide an opportunity for the Salesians to get to know each other and to improve communications within the newly constituted Province The main theme was consecrated life today with the open questions, the future prospects and the challenges. As well as providing the time necessary for the Assembly to plan and to be a informed about what is taking place at Province level, the meeting was also an excellent opportunity to celebrate the Province Feast, during which there was also a reflection on Don Rua as someone invited to live in dynamic fidelity.
The first day spent with the confreres meeting and getting to know each other. On the second divided into 20 groups they reflected and worked on proposals for the animation and government of the Province. On the third day there was the presentation of Don Rua and consideration of the criteria for the restructuration of Salesian presence in Argentina.
This year more than ever a variety of meetings and time spent together, such as this and the Rectors’ meeting, the Assembly of the young people of the Salesian Youth Movement, times of reflection spent together by the different teams and departments of animation and government are helping to shape the new map of the new Province.
