(ANS - Madrid) -The Confederation of Don Bosco Youth Centre , in its commitment to the prevention of psychoactive substance use among children and young people, developed the application (app) "Pasaporte 0%." The news was presented last Saturday, October 25, at Valladolid, in the Second Forum of youth participation.

The application was designed with input from adolescents and young people, parents, educators and professionals from different sectors (health, education, computer science and youth) who participated in the development of the prototype during March and April this year.

The Confederation of Don Bosco Youth Centres, under the leadership of young people and professionals, decided to design a tool focused on reducing the social pressure for alcohol consumption that young people experience. They have created a fun application where users must accomplish specific "missions" that allow them to accumulate points to fill the "Passport virtual 0%." The application is designed to be used in groups, especially in the areas of non-formal education (youth centres, clubs and leisure activities ...). Users will reflect on the positive things around them that allow them to enjoy free time in a healthier way. "You do not need alcohol to have fun, we have 100% fun with a 0% risk" is the message of the app.

During its development, young people from different parts of Spain gave their particular point of view on the solutions to the serious problem of alcohol. The vast majority of them would agree that peer pressure is the most important element to consider in addressing the issue of initiation to alcohol. And young people also have a positive verdict on the fact that their opinion was sought for the development of this initiative. Joshua, a fifteen year-old from Madrid, said: "I have met people whom I had never met before, older people, and so I could learn many things and have  new experiences, I can now talk about these issues and even brag a bit ''; Lucia, a seventeen year-old from Valencia, added: "I was very surprised when they called me and I liked what they told me, knowing that they were  going to do a similar project and they were counting on me. I felt super good!"

Jaime, in charge of the project on behalf of Linked Teams, reports. "We work with an organization called “Quiero salvar el mundo haciendo marketing” (I want to save the world by marketing) to develop all the ideas that have emerged during the workshops of the Don Bosco Confederation, to develop the project technically and propose innovative ideas. Often due to lack of experience, users think that nothing can be done.  "The app is available for Android devices through "Google Play" by searching for "Pasaporte 0%."
