The CMB, founded in 1982, is to be found in 5 countries - Italy, Madagascar, Chile, Burundi, Argentina – where it is responsible for various activities and works on behalf of youngsters especially the poorest ones. It was juridically established in 1994, and in 2001 it was approved ad experimentum in the Church of Bologna and definitively in 2004 as a Private Association of the faithful according to Canon Law.
“For us it is a great joy that we now participate in the most definitive and clear way in the Salesian charism, according to our original intention,” declared Guido Pedroni, CMB General Guardian. “We are full of gratitude for the spiritual gift we have received from our very beginnings, and to be able to live our faith in a practical way at the service of the Church in order to contribute to the human and Christian development of young people.”
The “Community of the Mission of Don Bosco” is the 28th group of the Salesian Family and is looking forward to taking part in the XXVIIIth Spirituality Days in Rome, at the Salesianum, between 21 and 24 January.
As in recent years, this event can be followed on the sdb.org site where the texts of the talks, photographs and video will be available.
