Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania – September 2013 – From 10 to 13 September the annual meeting of the Rectors of the Salesian Houses of the East African Province (AFE) took place in the Salesian House at Oyster Bay (AFE). Several topics relating to the AFE Province were examined. In the group sessions, priorities were evaluated, there was a rethinking of Youth Ministry and the calendar for the year was planned. Fr Giovanni Rolandi, Provincial of AFE, spoke about the possibility of opening a Salesian house in Somalia. The meeting ended with the presentation to the Rectors of the reports of the various commissions and of the Delegation of Sudan.

Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
