Tijuana, Mexico – 26 March 2013 – A meeting of some representatives of the West United States and Mexico-Guadalajara Provinces involved in a pastoral project for Hispanic migrants in the US, met on 26 March at the Salesian community in Tijuana. The project, involving Salesian communities on the frontier between the US and Mexico, was what the Rector Major asked for at the conclusion of the Team Visit for Interamerica Region in October 2011. Present were Fr Vaclav Klement, Councillor for the Missions, Fr Cleofás Murguía Villalobos, Provincial, MEG; Fr Timothy Ploch,Provincial SUO, Youth Ministry Delegates, Fr Hugo Orozco (MEG), and Brother Alphonse Vu (SUO), Mr Juan Carlos Montenegro, Missions Delegate SUO, and the two Rectors at Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez,Fr Raúl Curiel and Fr Juan Carlos Quirarte respectively.

Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
