Kakuma, Kenya – 2 July 2012 – On 2 July at the “Don Bosco” Salesian centre in the Kakuma refugee camp and belonging to the East Africa Province (AFE), the distribution of food for 2451 families of the Turkana Tribe began. Sr Elizabeth Pappu, of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM), is coordinating the food and first aid programme in collaboration with the Salesians. Thanks to the contributions of donors each family will receive maize, beans, salt and oil.

Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
