Lyon, France -­ March 2010 -­ Between 21 and 24 March the nerw Province of France-South Belgium (FRB) held its first Provincial Chapter with about 70 Salesians taking part. The theme was “The Salesian religious and the specific nature of his vocation in the light of the GC26”. Fr José Miguel Núñez, Councillor for the West Europe Region opened proceedings. On 22 March, after the Provincial Fr Joseph Enger had given a report on the state of the Province, Cardinal Philippe Xavier Ignace Barbarin, archbishop of Lyon, presided at Mass. In the evening, Fr José Miguel Núñez spoke about the Project for Europe.

Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
