Lubumbashi, D. R. Congo - January 2016 - From 25 to 29 January a National Conference on Consecrated Life is being held. The theme is "Consecrated Life in the DR Congo: 50 years after Perfectae Caritatis." Several members of the Salesians and the Salesian Family are participating. The event opened with Mass presided over by Bishop Cyprien Mbuka, President of the Episcopal Commission of the Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO), and by Archbishop Jean Pierre Tafunga, SDB, of Lubumbashi.

Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
