Jaboatão, Brazil - August 2015 - On August 1st and 2nd the Council of the Salesian Youth Movement (Movimento Giovanile Salesiano - MGS) met in Recife. Coordinators and animators of the various Salesian houses, representatives of MGS local councils and of a house of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians linked to the MGS council, took part in this meeting, during which several issues were taken into account: the pastoral activities done, a new proposal for the “Local Retreat for the Youth” in 2016, the choice of two persons as new representatives of the Province in the MGS National Council and the organization of the 20th edition of the Salesian Youth Festival.

Maputo, Mozambique - March 2016 - On 11 March Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, arrived in Mozambique for a visit which will end on 1 April. Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
