Rome, Italy - June 14, 2015 - On 14 June at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, four young people received their missionary mandate. Nicoletta will go for ten days to Egypt, to the capital Cairo, to find out how best they can intervene in the future to help the Salesian presence in an area that is very unstable and troubled. Peter and Emanuela will go for a month to the Salesian work at Soddo in Ethiopia. Elisa will spend two months in Senegal and Ivory Coast working with VIS, to discover the real needs and opportunities in those countries. The young leaders, teenagers and university students, who will be missionaries at the Sacred Heart during the summer youth programme were introduced at the end of Mass. They will commit themselves to working for the younger children for a period of two weeks.
