Parma, Italy - May 2015 – Various events were held to mark the bicentenary of the birth of Don Bosco in the city of Parma. On 9 May there was a Congress called "Good Christians and honest citizens". One of the speakers was Fr Francis Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major of the Salesians and formerly Rector of the Salesian Community in the city. There was also a concert called "The Madonna of Don Bosco". On 10 May Fr Cereda presided at Mass in the Church of St. John the Evangelist. He had lunch with the past pupils and then attended the musical "You`re with us," inspired by the life of St Maria Domenica Mazzarello.
