Nairobi, Kenya - January 2015 - This year the feast of Don Bosco in Kenya was celebrated with a national event, at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Upper Hill, Nairobi. All the communities of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians were present, including those furthest away in Korr and Kakuma. Each of the communities had a tent where they displayed products and activities carried out in their works. Two new Salesian Cooperators made their promise during the Eucharistic celebration. The orchestra of Embu and the Bosco Boys dancers brought a note of joy to the celebration. The civil authorities also honoured Don Bosco by issuing a special stamp.

Maputo, Mozambique - March 2016 - On 11 March Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, arrived in Mozambique for a visit which will end on 1 April. Macas, Ecuador - February 2016 - A meeting of the National Council of the Salesian Youth Movement was held from 26 to 28 February. The aim of the meeting was to review and continue planning for 2016 and plan for the next National SYM Congress which will take place in August.
