(ANS - Turin)- The Salesian Publisher Elledici yesterday announced the appointment of a new Managing Editor, Fr Albert Martelli, SDB. Fr Martelli has already worked in Elledici, as Director of the magazine Catechesis from 2001 to 2004, and for the past year, as head of magazines. Fr Martelli succeeds Fr Joseph Pelizza.
Since Elledici leftits original location at Leumann, Rivoli, and moved to modern new headquarters in Turin, it has continued on the path of renewal in logistics and ideas.
The new Editorial Director has held important positions in recent years as teacher of Salesian Pastoral Ministry in the Turin section of the Salesian Pontifical University, and as manager of projects and associations - as part of the National Civil Service and Salesian Youth Association - and of course also in communications, as a member of the Editorial Board of the Salesian Radio station Primaradio Piemonte.
He is the author of several essays, articles and publications that attest to his experience in teaching and catechesis, and in the publishing industry of which Elledici is a leader in Italy.
"The bicentenary of Don Bosco in 2015 is our starting point, said Fr Martelli, not to celebrate the past, but to be more effective in the present. (...) We want to be closer to the needs of our readers, especially teachers and ecclesial communities. The theme of education involves a wide audience. In general we want to catch more and more people who work with youth and in education. "
The Salesian publisher Elledici has over seventy years of experience in the field of education, catechesis, religious education and evangelization, aiming in particular at young people and their educators.
