(ANS – Madrid) – On 22 February at the Salesian Provincial House in Madrid there was the Ordinary Assembly of Salesian Social Services Committees. Two days later 24 February there was the III Pinardi Forum, which also involved the young people concerned.
The Assembly was begun by the Coordinator, Rachel Naoin and the National Coordinator of the Social Committees Ferran Solé welcoming those present. This was followed by the presentation of the action plan for 2012, with the aims: “Creatively supporting the new generation with opportunities for the projects of member Institutes.”
Following the guidelines of its Statutes, the Assembly then appointed the new Executive Committee with Loly Moreno, from the Mornese Foundation as President, who was warmly congratulated by the former President Raquel Noain. Then there was a talk by Mrs Lourdes Gaitan, President of the Sociology Group for Infants and Adolescents, who presented the report “Infancy in numbers” and commented on the participation in society of children and adolescents, on their rights and the violation of the rights in Spain at the present time.
In the afternoon, Marisa Gomez, Director General of the Social Action Committee for NGO and Ángel Hernández, Director of the Committee for Childrens’ Organisations explained the objectives and programmes of their respective organisations.
On 24 February at the III Pinardi Forum, the young members took part in various seminars concerned with sporting experiences and presentations by the various collaborators: the TV programme “Globomedia” with Victor Marin, sport by Juanma Lillo, a football coach; theatre and improvisations by the Collettivo Legolas; radio with Mar Llerena; dance with Susana Romero, a ballerina in the “Fame” programme; writing with David Lozano, and more...
This third Pinardi Forum was also an opportunity to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Pinardi Federation.
