Italy – Excellence of Salesian Professional Training, National Competition |
Among those present at the ceremony were Denis Merloni, Technical Training Director for the Province, Gabriella Tronconi, the Director of Education, Training and Instruction Policy for the Local Authority, the Director of the Company, Aldo Fiorini, the Salesian Brother Sergio Barberio, Director of the local branch of the CNOS-FAP (National Centre for Salesian Works – Technical Formation and Updating), local business representatives and many workers accompanied by their families.
There were three courses organised at the Company during the training year 2010-2011 involving in total 45 people for about 2000 training hours. The result of this collaboration was the completion of the Project “Collaborative Strategies for the innovation of the Marcegaglia product”, financed by the Company and the Provincial Administration with a contribution from the European Social Fund. This enabled the Company to provide the necessary material for the construction of specialised pressure and gas machinery for nuclear power stations in China and India.
The ceremony was opened by the Director of the Company who spoke about the great variety of undertakings promoted during the past year and the proposed investments the group intended to make in the future. Staff members Stefano Toscano and Andrea Comandini explained the efforts made to respond to the challenges of the international market which necessitated ever better qualifications.
Brother Barberio then spoke about the need for collaboration among all those involved in these projects.
