Each school presented a maximum of 3 projects for each category and on this occasion the students gaining the awards were Abel Seguer, from the Institute of Mataró; Juan José Guiracocha Jaramillo, from the Institute of Badalona,; Albert and Enrique García, from Sarrià; Andrea Bos, from the Salesian Institute in Rocafort, and Miquel Soler, from the Salesian University School of Sarrià.
The event concluded with a round table discussion at which was examined the current situation of vocational training in the present climate of job opportunities for qualified candidates. Those taking part were Ferran Castrillo, Director of Support Services for Centres of Initial Vocational Training Centres; Silvia Marchena, Director of Employment Services in Catalonia; and Josep M. Puente, Vice President of the Employers’ Federation in Badalona.
In the course of the day, for their fundamental role in the educational process of preparing future professionals some businesses which are involved in the area of Vocational Training in the Salesian Schools were honoured. These were: “Rayto”, “Menshen”, “Rublo”, “Talleres Constenla”, l’Unità di Gestione Amministrativa BCN, “Balear Perfumería y Cosmética”, “Maurina Comercio” and the “Vicente Canales” Industrial Group.
The “Salesianos Isla Tecnológica” coordinates vocational training, employment and updating in the Salesian Schools in Catalonia and in the Salesian University School of Serrià.
The Days take place every year in one of the SIT centres.
