The IX in the series of National Meetings of the Salesian Schools’ Network (ENARSE) was attended by a large number of people including senior teaching and administrative staff, regional representatives, staff members of RSE, Provincials and the Presidents of Cisbrasil (Salesians of Don Bosco Provincials’ Conference in Brazil) and of CIB (Daughters of Mary Help of Christians Provincials’ Conference in Brazil).
The main topic was “The animation-administration of a school and the implications for various fields of action on the part of the RSE.” Presentations were given by the Directors of the Network, and talks by the invited guests, Miguel Arroyo and Adriano Arthur Dienstmann, on respectively: “Education, work and development in Brazil” and “The management of education in network.”
The President of the Network Prof. Dilnei Lorenzi, presented a plan for the development of the organisation of the RSE, with a strategic vision for the period 2011-2015. There was discussion regarding the following five areas: Communication, Pastoral work, Pedagogy, Administration and Publications, which highlighted the need for the directing teams to work together.
The Chair of the Pedagogy Sector, Katia Stocco Smole, spoke about pedagogical formation in the network, considering the efficiency of the school as an organisation which learns. The aims and priorities of Salesian education were also examined such as, for example, the National Training Scheme of the RSE.
The Chair of the Communication sector, Célio Ballona Júnior, then proposed the official campaign of the RSE for the period 2011-2012, “Brazilians of the future” and the promotional campaigns inspired by the model “My School is like this.. and my Dream is this,” with the intention of highlighting the name and the presence of the RSE in Brazil.
Antônio Boeing, Chair of the Pastoral section, spoke about the pedagogical pastoral plan, proposing the RSE as an educational place in which to “learn to believe” and to develop the transcendental dimension pointing to a plan for a full and happy life. The strategic aims of pastoral work were also examined taking into account the preventive system of Don Bosco and the mission of the Salesian school.
Regarding the Publication area, Prof. Gleuso Damasceno presented some new text books, the second edition of the manuals to be used for 2012, the updated versions of the “Looking for the Word” project and others. From the Administrative point of view Paulo Arns da Cunha, presented the plan for the administrative integration of the Network.
Finally the Provincial Directors of the Network presented their work.
