The agreement means that the Pinardi Federation will take part in the “Incorpora” programme of the “La Caixa” Financial Institute, which is aimed at “facilitating access to work of the more vulnerable groups,” very much in conformity with the activities of Salesian social work engaged in formation and especially in building bridges between the young and the business world.
Last year, thanks to the “Incorpora” programme, 186 young people found work and 15 contracts were signed with businesses. The young people were from programmes such as “ACES”, “PCPI” or “FIP” for those social groups particularly vulnerable and with “particular difficultties in finding jobs” as the contract explains.
This is in addition to the activities which the Salesian centres undertake in the field of vocational training. In addition to the regular training programmes for thousands of students and the preparation for work, in recent years they have been looking for other ways to help youngsters who give up school. In the vocational training centres other programmes are being provided for youngsters at risk of exclusion, and other centres have been set up by the Social Project with special work programmes suited to these young people.
