| Italy – “The Preventive System and Human Rights”: a stimulus for the future |
In the course of the meeting there will be the presentation of Acts and a Multimedia Box in seven languages produced following the International Congress “Preventive System and Human Rights” held in Rome between 2 and 6 January 2009. This material gathering together the results of the Congress is further proof of the commitment of the Salesian Family to education in Human Rights and the promotion and protection of the rights of children and young people. A testimony of how Don Bosco’s Preventive System is still, as always, relevant.
Chairing the presentation will be Giorgio Zanchini, journalist and radio commentator. Those due to speak are Senator Pietro Marcenaro, President of the Extraordinary Commission of the Senate for the Safeguarding and Promotion of Human Rights, Fr Pascual Chávez Villanueva, Senator Carlo Giovanardi, Under Secretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Carola Carazzone, from the Human Rights Office of the International Volunteer Movement for Development, Davide Demichelis, author and a director of Missioni Don Bosco.
