The Rector Major, Fr Pascual Chávez, who with his Council approved the “Project for Europe” at the end of January 2009, will introduce the proceedings
The meeting which will conclude on Sunday 19 July, has the aim of clearing identifing in practical terms the interventions to be made according to the Project for the pastoral year 2009-2010.
Taking part are Fr Francesco Cereda, Councillor for Formation and chairman of the Commission, the three Councillors for the Salesian Mission, Fr Fabio Attard, Fr Vaclav Klement, Fr Filiberto Gonzalez, the three Regional Councillors for Europe, Fr Pierfausto Frisoli, Fr José Miguel Nuñez, Fr Stefano Turanský and the Provincials Fr Juan Bosco Sancho, Fr Stefano Martoglio and Fr Marek Chrzan.
For each of the three areas on which the Project is focused: re-vitalisation from within of the Salesian presences, re-location and re-structuring of Salesian presences in Europe, Europe a mission territory – attention was to be given to the different levels of intervention to be undertaken by the Rector Majior and the General Council, by the Regions of Europe and by the individual Provinces.
The Commission, meeting every six months, will be engaged in following the process of the implementation, evolution and assessment of the Project.
