The television event is linked with the “ProDarfur” solidarity campaign which started on 22 December and continues until 26th. It is possible to make a financial contribution to the projects being run by the Salesians in southern Sudan for young refugees through a test message of support of one euro or a fixed line telephone call to 48585.
“Darfur has had many words but little practical help.” – Fr Pascual Chávez said as he thanked “Prime Time Promotions” during a recent meeting when they exchanged Christmas greetings on 20 December. “ The problems being experienced in that country are a focus of major attention for the Union of Superiors General (USG) and the International Union of Female Superiors General (UISG)”. Thanking Mrs Stefania Scorpio, Mr Eligio Ermeti and Mrs Livia Romani, for the collaboration given by “Prime Time Promotions” the Rector Major, who took part in the recording of the Concert in Verona, said “Your professionalism and that of Mara Venier who presented the evening, thanks to the images of Nicolò Fabi, and of Matatfix and to the interview with Fr Vincenzo Donati, transformed the concert from being a show into a human drama. I hope the deeper message reaches the television audience .”
