(ANS- Freetown)After his visit to the prison he came to the residence of the Salesian at Don Bosco Fambul to have a chat and lunch with the street boys, children that survive from Ebola and the girls that are rape and suffer domestic violence and the boys at the group home. The compound of the Salesian was filled with youngsters who are waiting to welcome the 10th successor of Don Bosco. As he entered a song was raised saying that Don Bosco will shine today… when the sun goes up, when the sun goes down Don Bosco will always shine.

After Don Angel has taken his seat, several of the youngsters shared with him how Don Bosco has assisted and rescued them when there was no one to be at their help. Thus they expressed their great joy to DonBosco for coming to Sierra Leone and being there for them. The Rector Major Don Angel expressed his joy of being with with beneficiaries of Don Bosco Fambul, he continued to say that we often hear of Don Bosco and tomorrow 31st we will celebrate the feast of Don Bosco and what has been celebrated 60 years ago will be celebrated here in Sierra Leone, thus he is very happy to see how the Salesian of Don Bosco are working among you.

He also congratulates the staff of Don Bosco Fambul for the work they are doing here he also expressed his deepest gratitude is to the youngsters who are the reasons why the Salesians are here to work with them. The Rector Major further stated that the testimony of Suntia (one of the girls in the Girl’s Shelter) who shared with us how her father abused her sexually and denied her education, did not make her to stop going to school or to loss the sense of education.

The wish of the Rector Major to the youngster is that they will be able to use this opportunity that is given to them by the Salesians in other for them to prepare themselves for the future of their life. He told the youngsters that one thing he can promise them is that Don Bosco will always be close to them and accompanied them in life.
