(ANS - Techiman)- One of the first objectives of Stop Trafficking is to raise awareness among potential migrants of the risks involved in travelling to Europe is. And that's exactly what they have been doing during the last few days of 2015 and will continue to do for the whole of 2016. Following on two events in Senegal and Nigeria, a very special radio broadcast was aired on 23 December on Agyenkwah FM, Techiman, in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana,

It lasted about an hour and spoke about the risks involved in travelling to Europe. It included the testimony of Solomon, a migrant returned home after being the victim of human trafficking. According to the directors of Agyenkwah FM, the programme has received excellent ratings and has had a good impact. Over the next two months the radio station will broadcast short spots on the campaign Stop Trafficking – These are Human Beings.

Awareness is one of the pillars on which the campaign is built. In short, the aim is to inform those who want to leave of the risks involved. In the five target countries there will also be a number of development projects, to ensure that potential migrants have an alternative and a choice.
