(ANS – Turin) – Everything is ready for the beginning of SYM Don Bosco 2015, the event which from today, August 10th, to the date of Don Bosco’s Bicentenary, August 16th, will gather about 5000 youth of the Salesian Family, coming from all over the world. In the words of the Rector Major, “These are days to enjoy being together, to share one’s history of life, to pray together and return to our houses feeling all closer to God and to the youth, and this because all educators and the youth themselves were always in Don Bosco’s mind the first educators and servants of their companions”.

It is since a couple of days now that the first delegations from various parts of the world are coming, and are publishing in the social networks the photos of their journey to the venue. Some of them have arrived to the meeting of Mornese, which is entitled “On the footsteps of Main”, in which about 700 youth are participating before going to Turin for SYM Don Bosco 2015.
Today’s program includes also the registration of participants and the delivery of the SYM PACK, with material that will be useful during the meeting.
It is important to remember that there is an exclusive APP for the meeting, which can be downloaded from iTunes Store and Play Store, or by writing “SYM Don Bosco” in the respective App Store.
The functions provided (in the App) will allow the participants:
· To get the official material, the information for hospitality and the detailed program;
· To constantly update the news in the official web site and to socially interact with the organization and other participants;
· To have a guide for the itineraries of the city that will be followed in the evening;
· To have a personal diary, in which to register the names of new friends.
Here is Fr. Á.F. Artime’s comment on what he expects from SYM Don Bosco 2015: “This international meeting of the youth of the Salesian world, who are invited to celebrate the birthday, the Bicentenary of Don Bosco’s birth, is to me an opportunity to revive our faith and our Salesian charism. It is an expression of universality, and of how Don Bosco’s heart continues to touch the hearts of the youth. It is a manifestation of how, as Salesian Family, we are and we must be, like Don Bosco, educators and evangelizers of the youth in the world. It is a manifestation of how grateful the youth are to God for the gift of Don Bosco as “Father and Teacher of the Youth”.
