(ANS - Aleppo) - The violence of the fierce war going on in Syria for more than four years has again struck the young people of the Don Bosco Oratory in Aleppo: this time the Salesian Family of Aleppo grieves for two young oratory leaders, who together with their mother have gone to heaven.
Fr Munir El Rai,
Provincial of the Middle East
With great sadness we have received the news of the death of two young brothers, Anwar and Misho Samaan, and their mother Minerva. Their deaths were caused by a rocket that fell on their house on 11 April 2015.
Unfortunately, the war is still going on these days in all of Syria, and particularly in Aleppo, causing great suffering and death due to the intensification of the conflict.
Anwar and Misho spent their childhood and youth in the Don Bosco Oratory . As oratory leaders they have left in the hearts of many the memory of their joy and love for life. Anwar is the older brother, born on 20 July 1993. Misho was born on 7 September 1998. They were two young men in the prime of life.
We pray that the peace and hope of the risen Lord may reach the heart of our Middle East so sorely wounded.
