RMG – Numbers for General Chapter 27 |
RMG – Towards the Chapter: the Salesians in Europe - 1 |
RMG – The forthcoming Chapter: results of the Pre-Chapter Commission |
(ANS - Rome) - In a letter sent last Friday, October 4, Fr Francis Cereda, Councillor General for Formation of the Salesians sent the Instrumentum Laboris of the 27th General Chapter (GC27) to all the Provincials, Delegates and invited members who will attend the Chapter.
In the letter that accompanied the document, Fr Cereda wrote: “The ‘working document’ is addressed to the participants in the GC27 so that they can study and reflect on it and arrive prepared at the GC27. There would be (sic) some interesting topics connected with the theme of the GC27 that would need to be explored, such as: the “grace of unity”, the identity of consecrated life, vocation, witness, the radical nature of the Gospel, pastoral conversion, discernment, work and temperance…”
The document is the result of the work of the Pre-Capitular Commission which met in Rome from September 7 to 17. The commission accepted the contents of the letter convoking the GC27 written by the Rector Major, and summarized the submissions from the various provincial chapters.
The working document has been published on the website of the Congregation, so that Salesians around the world can know it and think about it.
