(ANS – Niterói) – The Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) in preparation for the World Youth Day (WYD) is prettier, more interactive and has much more content after restyling. The changes respond especially to young people who will be taking part in the Salesian activities for WYD planned next July in Niterói.
There will be three events as part of WYD at Rio de Janeiro which involve the SYM known in Brazil under the tite “Articulação da Juventude Salesiana” (AJS):
As well as providing the most important information on the home page the site gives easy access to documents and guidelines on how to reach the meeting places, and updates on preparation for the events.
The preparation of SYM members as part of the WYD will be constantly monitored: video, texts and photos concerning formation meetings and other initiatives put in place in provinces around the world will be uploaded.
“Our intention is to make this site a huge virtual playground and a nioce place for socializing so the SYM can begin to prepare itself”, explain Sr Nádia Caetano, from the event's communications team.
The SYM world meeting aims to bring together Salesian youth worldwide and strengthen the bonds that link them to make them into one big family. They want this to happen in two directions, with the SYM site in social networks, to receive comment, suggestions, praise even, share information and respond to the usual questions from users.
Those responsible for youth ministry and social communication invite all Salesian sites to put a direct link to the Brazil SYM site.
