(ANS – Seoul) – In Don Bosco's month – along with other celebrations of Salesian holiness – several novices are making their First Profession. Tomorrow, 24 January, Feast of St Francis de Sales, the Korea Province celebrates the First Profession of vows by three young men; it is one event amongst several including professions and ordinations throughout this week.

Sun Jong Hyeon, Christian name John Chrysostom; Ahn Joong Hee, alias Philip Neri; and Heo Deuk Jin, baptised as Daniel are the three young novices who tomorrow, Thursday 24, will make their First Profession into the hands of Fr Stephen Nam, the Provincial of the Holy Korean Martyrs Province (KOR). All three are originally from the Province and all three are candidates for the priesthood.

The Korea Province's reasons for celebration don't stop there: on the same day at the Provincial House in Seoul there will be 9 ordinations, 7 to priesthood and 2 as deacons. Yesterday, 22 January, the Memorial of Blessed Laura Vicuña, Pascual Shin, Joseph Shin and Stefano Kim made their Perpetual Profession.
