(ANS – Rome) – The Pope has agreed that the celebration of the Rite of Beatification of the Servant of God, Maria Troncatti, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, will take place at Macas (Seat of the Apostolic Vicariate of Méndez, Ecuador) on Saturday 24th November 2012.

Cardinal Angelo Becciu of the Vatican Secretariate of State officially communicated the news to Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Salesian Postulator General. Cardinal Angelo Amato SDB, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, will preside at the beatification, representing the Holy Father.

The Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the entire Salesian Family welcome this announcement with great joy, as a new expression of the fertility and vitality of the Salesian charism.
