Spain - World Youth Day Vigil: we were there! |
(ANS – Rome) – From today, 22 December, two videos are available on the internet about the involvement of the Salesian Youth Movement in the World Youth day in Madrid. The result of synergy between a number of organisations they are available on the bosco2011 site and a Christmas present for the young people of the SYM.
Those who took part will have their own memories of the WYD with its aspects of travelling, seeking and reflecting. From today it is possible to relive those experiences and revive the determination to be “Rooted in Christ and firm in the faith.”
On the bosco2011 site it is possible to download the two videos: the first, divided in two parts, describes the nature and purpose of WYD 2011 and the part played by the SYM the second records the Prayer Vigil at Atocha on 17 August attended by over 7000 young people. The first is available in seven languages (Italian, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish and German, the second in the original version, as the Vigil was broadcast live on Telepace and streaming web.
Once downloaded the videos can be watched on personal computers, tablets, smartphones, or placed on various Province sites or that of the SYM. The picture quality is very high: it should be sufficient, according to need, to convert the files in the format desired.
Making the videos easily available means that those who were present can relive their memories and those who were not can have some ideas of what the experience was like of taking part in the XXVI WYD.
Among those who have contributed to making this possible are various Salesian lay and religious groups, SDB and FMA: Missioni Don Bosco, Youth Ministry and Social Communication Departments and Sectors and Salesian Spain.
