(ANS - Santa Clara) - On Sunday 25 March at the end of the Chrism Mass - which in Cuba is celebrated during Lent - Bishop Arturo González, of the Santa Clara diocese presented the "Pro ecclesia et Pontifice" Medal to two Salesians: Fr Rafael Giordano and Fr Bruno Roccaro.
This honour awarded by Pope Benedict XVI was meant to recognise the work that the two Salesians had carried out in the Church and in the Congregation especially for the service thay have given over many years in the seminary of St Charles and St Ambrose in Havana.
The celebration, which took place in the Cathedral of Santa Clara, was attended by many faithful from the parish of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, where the two Salesians are working at present.
