After, through the members of the Social Communication department, giving the task of drawing up the poster for the 2011 Strenna to a number of designers and graphic artists, the Rector Major then chose the design presented by DOSA TIC in Cordoba. Having been given the go-ahead in September the technicians were very happy to have been entrusted with the task as they considered the confidence placed in them a sign of appreciation for the ten years which have brought DOSA TIC to its present professional position in the world of communications.
The Rector Major with the members of the Social Communication Department have closely followed the long and careful process. “There has been a great deal of coordination, reflection, design and formulation going on involving the Rector Major, the Department and DOSA TIC” says José Antonio Almohalla, the designer with the Spanish firm.
Starting with the first ideas provided by the Department, “we have tried to communicate the need for vocation ministry, to see Don Bosco as through the eyes of Christ calling and inviting many people to come and work in the mission of Don Bosco”, Almohalla explains. In fact, the two faces, the central slogan and the presence in various languages of the words “life” and “call” were there all the time up to the final version.
The DOSA TIC project has also been behind the design of the video for the 2011 Strenna, which as in previous years has been produced by Missioni Don Bosco-Media Centre in Torino.
