The Course, which was organised by the Youth Ministry Department and led by Fr Rafael Borges was attended by over 160 people including teachers, other staff, leaders, Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and lay co-workers from Salesian centres in the country (parishes, schools and social centres). Fr Daniel Silva, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry assisted by his team, coordinated the course.
During the course there was discussion concerning the charismatic experience inherited from Don Bosco and a renewal of apostolic commitment through reflection on their pastoral practice and re-thinking it on the basis of the evangelising dimension of the Preventive System.
Those taking part were able to exchange their experiences in an atmosphere conducive to discernment and pastoral planning. The “Texas” Group (Salesian Past Pupils Theatre) also made their valuable contribution to the event.
During the meeting, making use of modern communications technology it was also possible by means of Skype for Fr Fabio Attard, General Councillor for Youth Ministry to make a direct contribution to the discussions.
