(ANS – Talca) – On 15 September, among the many varied events organised by the Salesians as part of the celebrations for the Bi-centenary of the Independence of Chile, the Band of the Salesian Institute in Talca, under the direction of Fr Germán Balboa, performed in front of hundreds of people in the centre of the city and were given a great reception.

In the “Piazza Cienfuegos” in the city and the members of the band, from the smallest to the oldest demonstrated to a receptive audience their talent and skills. The  Talca band has always made its mark in the traditional celebrations of the city and on this occasion too its quality and professionalism was evident

The Band’s performance also opened the Bi-centenary  of Independence celebrations being held today 16 September, at the Salesian Institute in Talca.
