(ANS – Krishnahar) – A few days after the “Positio”, a dossier documenting the heroicity of the virtues of the Servant of God  Fr Francesco Convertini, was delivered to the Vatican on 11 March, a film on the life of the Salesian missionary was presented in India, a Saturday14 March.

“A Labour of Love” is the title of the film dedicated to the Servant of God who died on 11 February 1976.

Fr Luciano Colussi, Vicar  General of the a diocese of Krishnagar and a collaborator in the cause of  Fr Convertini, formerly director of the “Nitika Communications Centre” in Kolkata, says that in making the film on Fr Convertini most of the 100 artistes contributed their services free, being satisfied with travelling and accommodation expenses.

The film, directed by Goutam Biswas, lasts 95 minutes is in the Bengali language.

Chairing the launching ceremony organised by the “Father Francis Convertini” Association was Salesian Bishop Joseph Suren Gomes of Krishnagar.
