“…So that they feel they are loved” was the theme which inspired all the various activities during the course held between 27 and 31 January, in which the catechists and group leaders in the Province took part.
During the five days they studied the place of Don Bosco’s Preventive System in today’s world, as they reflected on the approach to education of the saint from Turin in the light of the experience of today’s young people.
In the afternoons there were 10 different work-shops: psychological aspects of teenagers, model-making, sexuality, catechetics, human rights, hand-writing, group dynamics, communications, missionary work and politics. All those taking part were able to choose three workshops to attend.
The youth leaders also took part in another activity - the “Via Christi”, meditating on the life of Jesus in a form of a pilgrimage with 18 stations, a devotion becoming more popular both for its religious aspect and in order to admire the sculptures and figures in bas relief at each of the stations
The “Via Christi” in Junín de los Andes is attached to the Sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows and to Blessed Laura Vicuña.
