(ANS – Bilbao) – On 13 November the Salesian Institute of Deusto, Bilbao, received the Gold standard “Q” certification award because of the high standard of the school services provided  throughout the academic year and across the whole spectrum from nursery to vocational training and ongoing formation courses.

Before obtaining this result the whole of the Salesian Institute was subjected to an external assessment process by “Euskalit”, the Basque Foundation for the Promotion of Excellence. On 29 and 30 October examining commission interviewed the 46 members of the educative community of the Salesian centre.

In a statement the Rector of the house, Fr José Luis Pinedo, gave the news to the whole school community expressing his gratitude to all his collaborators for the efforts they had made in order to obtain this long-awaited quality certification.

The Gold standard  “Q” certification guarantees the implementation of the model EFQM of Excellence (European Foundation for Quality Management).
