(ANS – Córdoba) – The Villada Salesian Technical Institute in Córdoba, Argentina, was recently awarded the first prize in a National Competition “Working with Freescale microcontrols,” organised and promoted each year by the “Electrocomponentes S.A.” and “Freescale Semiconductor”.

The Salesian School presented a project entitled “NA015 –Zigbee Wireless with – Zigbee antenna: application of the current display and indicator,”, competing against many others in projects all related to the use of the microcontrols HC908 and HC9S08 Flash, produced by “Freescale”.

In judging the projects presented, account was taken of the criteria of the quality and quantity of the attached  documentation, previous experience in the use of microcontrols, the equipment available and the complexity of the project.

The project presented by the students of the “Técnico Villada” beat the challenge of those  from important university institutions in Argentina, such as the Faculty of Exact Science and Technology in the National  University in Tucumán, the  Faculty of Applied Mathematics in the Catholic University of Santiago  and the  Faculty of Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Entre Ríos.
