(ANS – Campo Grande) – The ”Don Bosco Catholic University” (UCDB) in Campo Grande has recenty been recognised as the best private institution for higher education in the State of Mato Grosso del Sud, in the category of scientific research, and among the 3 best institutions in the Central West Region of Brazil.

This recognition was awarded by the “Prize for the Best Universities” initiative promoted by the “Students’ Guide” published by “Abril” and the “Banco Real” which identifies, evaluates and promotes higher education institutions in the country. The prize is in three categories: economic viability of the institution, reputation and the level of scientific research.

The Salesian University has also been given the highest recommendation for the quality of its Master in Education.

UCDB has now been evaluated “5”, the highest possible, by the  Ministry of Education‘s “Coordination for the improvement of personnel at higher level” which carries out an assessment of educational institutions every three years.
It is the first time that an academic course of this sort - without being a doctoral course - has reached such a high level of recognition.
