Speaking on the occasion Fr. Kalapurackal Thomas, the director of the institute, said, “The work began as a small venture, with the theme: ‘I have come that they may have life and life in abundance’, but has grown over the years and has been striving to add life to life. The new centre that is blessed today is named ‘Life Plus’ indicating this striving for adding life to life”. He also thanked the Rector Major and his council for the help and support given and is giving in building up this centre.
Speaking during the cultural programme which show cased the rich cultural dances and songs of the Mising and Assamese, Fr. Adriano Bregolin, the Vicar General of the Salesian Society, expressed his appreciation for the work done. He also thanked everyone for the warm welcome accorded to him. He said, “I like the name Life Plus and I hope that it would provide life for many youth.”
