(ANS - Rome)- On 23 December 2015 the Rector Major, with the consent of the General Council, appointed Fr Jarosław Pizon as new Superior of the Province of St John Bosco in Wrocław, Poland (PLO) for the six years from 2015 to 2021.

Jarosław Pizon was born on 21 June 1968 in Walcz (Pila), in Poland. It was here that got to know the Salesians. He did his year of novitiate in Swobnica, where he made his first profession on 22 August 1988. He was ordained priest at Lad on 30 May 1996.

He exercised his pastoral ministry in the work at Rumia in Swietojanska, Poland, as Rector from 2005 to 2010 and also as parish priest from 2007 to 2010. From 2010 to the present he has been working in the Provincial House in Pila.

From 2000 to 2005 he was Provincial Councillor. From 2004 to 2008 he was Delegate for Youth Ministry. He was Delegate for the Salesian Cooperators and the Past Pupils from 2010 to 2013, and for Formation from 2010 to the present time.  He is also Vice-Provincial at present in the Province of Pila in Poland.
