(ANS - Salta) - On 18 November, the Salesian Institute of Ángel Zerda in Salta hosted a very meaningful event. It was an ecumenical prayer meeting, a time of rich dialogue and a sharing of commitment and faith, led by Pastor Walter of the Lutheran Church, Fr Adolfo of the Orthodox Church, and Fr Andres Peirone, SDB, Rector and Economer of the Institute.

The celebration began very early. The entrance of the word of God made up the first part of the liturgy. The three leaders shared their thoughts on sacred texts and the extreme violence that many Christians are experiencing in some regions of our planet.

Unity in faith and the love of One Father were some of the key concepts of the reflections. This led to giving thanks to God for peace and freedom in the country and at the same time asking everyone to be builders of peace in their homes and places of work.

Later the children and young people presented some symbols of peace.  They left lights around the Paschal candle, the image of the Risen Jesus, who was the centre of the celebration.

In addition to the students, teachers and administrative staff of the school, the participants included the Consul of Germany, the vice-consul of Italy, the authorities of the Syrian-Lebanese Union, a Supervisor from the Ministry of Education, and delegations from the schools of Maria Auxiliadora - Laura Vicuña and Santa Rosa de Viterbo.
