(ANS - Madrid) - Central Catequística Salesiana publishers (CCS) present the Spanish version of the "Salesian sources. Don Bosco and his work, "a book that focuses on the history, pedagogy and spirituality of our holy founder and his time. In this way CCS is implementing the directive of the 27th General Chapter that the Salesian sources be translated (GC27 n. 67.6).
The content of the work is in three parts:
The work is complete with sources, a bibliography and a thematic index to facilitate the systematic use of the content. As the ninth successor of Don Bosco, Fr Pascual Chavez, says in the introduction, this volume should be "an essential guide in getting to know Don Bosco and then to love, imitate and invoke our beloved Father."
GC27 made a commitment to "deepen our spirituality by frequent reading of the Constitutions and the study of Salesian sources" (GC27 n. 67.3). For this reason, the book is presented as a work of reference for the whole Salesian Family and also as a gift for the Year of the Bicentenary of the birth of St. John Bosco.
