The newly inaugurated sprawling 75,000 sq. ft. campus of DBSM has been set up by the Don Bosco Tech (DB Tech) Society with the whole-hearted support of the Don Bosco family in India. DB Tech understands that the trainers are the backbone of the organisation and the foundation needed to achieve the desired mission with greater quality. Amalgamating quality with technological advancement, DBSM has been evolved as a master training centre for upscaling, upgrading and updating both the technical skills as well as the soft skills of trainers working across India in the common mission of “Skilling India”.

Fr. Maria Arokiam cut the ribbon to inaugurate the development centre and thereafter lit the Indian ceremonial lamp along with other dignitaries present for the occasion – among them were the French Consul General Mr. Eric Lavertu, former Salesian Provincial of Bangalore Fr. Thomas Anchukandam, and Salesian Provincial of New Delhi Fr. Jose Mathew, SDB.

The alumni of Dimapur DB Tech centre rendered a soulful prayer song during the inauguration ceremony, and the DBSM campus and new buildings were blessed. The function was also coupled with the inauguration of the Schneider Centre of Excellence by Mr. Lavertu.

During the function, the DB Tech alumni narrated their stories of a life-altering experience through skill training received at DB Tech. Fr. Maria Arokiam congratulated Fr. A. M. Joseph SDB, the Executive Director of DB Tech, for his passion and persistence to achieve his dream for DB Tech. Fr. Anchukandam narrated the history of DB Tech and congratulated all those who were agents in its laudable achievements down the years.

The new centre has meeting halls, offices, a conference room, an auditorium, residential facilities, staff quarters and state-of-the-art labs.
