(ANS - Buenos Aires) - The Salesian Provinces of Argentina, North and South, have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security to strengthen the courses in professional training offered by the Salesians.
According to the text disseminated by the Agency AICA, the Salesiansand the Ministry have agreed to develop permanent local strategies for education and training in collaboration between public and private sectors in the areas of production, training and employment.
The agreement aims to improve the quality of the institutions that manage craft workshops, starting with the technical teams that run them and to improve the social and productive development of the land.
The agreement will help to ensure that those who already have jobs and also the unemployed can acquire new skills and thus improve their employment potential.
With the signing of the agreement it is expected that ministerial programmes will include a greater incentive for professional training and qualification for workers. The relevant teams in the two Provinces are developing lines of action that will enable them to achieve the objectives of the agreement already in 2015.
"This agreement is an important step as part of the Bicentenary of the Birth of Don Bosco. It reconfirms our option to work for the holistic development of the most disadvantaged young people," say the Salesians.
