(ANS - Madrid) - To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the beatification of Sr. Eusebia Palomino FMA in Rome on 25 April 2004, the FMA Province Virgen del Camino of León, Spain, has developed over the years a number of initiatives under the heading "With Sister Eusebia." These include a special episode of the show "El día del Señor" to be shown on Sunday 14 December  (La 2 of TVE - h 10:30 - GMT+1).

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the life and mission of Sr. Palomino among children and young people of the Salesian houses and  the educational centres of  the Salesian Family. For this reason, the portal of the Salesians of Spain -  www.donbosco.es - has created a page:  “Especial Sor Eusebia”, which contains a biography, photos, liturgical materials and multimedia resources on her life.  There is also an explanation of the Cantalpino Project aimed at enlisting the  economic cooperation of friends and devotees of Sr. Palomino, in order to preserve the house at Cantalpino near Salamanca where Blessed Eusebia was born and lived with her parents and brothers. This necessiates acquiring a neighbouring building to ensure the reinforcment of the walls of the birthplace.  The plan is to make this house a centre of Salesian spirituality and to maintain and improve various pastoral activities for the young and the whole Salesian Family.

The transmission of La 2 on TVE next Sunday 14 December fits well into the "With Sister Eusebia" project.  14 December is the eve of her birthday, The programme will begin with a ten-minute report shot between Salamanca and Cantalpino. Then there will be the Eucharist celebrated in the San Juan Bosco school  of the FMA in Salamanca. The main celebrant will be Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Provincial of the St James the Greater Province.
