(ANS - Rome) – Now that the International Historical Congress is ended, the Salesian Family is already moving towards another significant event in this Year of the Bicentenary of Don Bosco: the International Conference on Salesian Education to be held in Rome, 19 to 21 March 2015. The theme will be: "With Don Bosco, educators of the young people of our time."
Promoted by the Rector Major and organized by UPS, the conference will tbe held in two locations: at the Salesianum and the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS). It is open to all groups, and members of the Salesian Family and all those interested in pedagogy and education in Church and society. Each Salesian Province, Vice Province or Circumscription is expected to send at least one representative. The representatives may be Salesians or lay people, professors of education, Rectors or Principals of post-novitiate, Delegates for Formation or Youth Ministry .... We want to encourage the widest possible dissemination at local level of the reflections that will take place at the conference.

The content wil be solely pedagogical and will seek to bring the Salesian world face to face with the educational challenges of the present time, to read the situation today and respond at the educational level. The conference will also provide a forum to share ideas and experiences from various parts of the world.
