(ANS - Madrid) - On 27 October, Pinardi, the Federation of Salesian Social Platforms and the company JP Morgan launched a project called "First Professional Experience." It is an initiative that over the next year will improve the potential for employment of at least eighty young people who have completed their studies. The agreement provided for an innovative model of collaboration, in which the participants have access to work experience in a real environment, which gives them skills, training, maturity, and the qualities required to achieve quality jobs in the medium-term.

Welcoming the launch, Jesús Javier Llorente, President of Pinardi, said that this is intended to "provide opportunities for the young people in our society who are disadvantaged." He thanked the strategic partners in the project "for their commitment and confidence in job-sharing as a way to combat youth unemployment."

Ignacio Álvarez-Kidron, Director of Marketing at JP Morgan Iberia, said that "collaboration between different agencies is the key to finding solutions to the serious problem of youth unemployment. We are happy to see the participation of key partners working together with Pinardi Foundations and JP Morgan on this project."   JP Morgan participates in the programme through a foundation which funds this initiative fully as part of its philanthropic activities in Spain.

The project is a pioneer in the method of integral development. There will be different forms of cross training which will enable young people to acquire the skills required for the new market model of production. Collaboration with companies like Accenture will allow young people to learn languages and to receive financial training and job skills ... Strategic partners will be key to the success of the "First Professional Experience." They will use a model of training whereby participants are involved from the outset in a real working environment in leading companies in the hotel and restaurant sector, such as the Vips Group, Madrid Airport Hilton and Meliá International Hotels.

Throughout the process, moreover, the young people will be supported by a professional mentor. This is a key innovation which will give young people a reference person who will give them the necessary information and at the same time motivate the professionals who are working in this social initiative.
